Kovacek Recognized by APTA

Peter R. Kovacek, MSA, PT, President and Founder of KovacekManagementServices, Inc. was recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association Section on Health Policy and Administration and awarded the Section's Outstanding Service Award for 2006.  This award recognizes physical therapists who have made significant contributions to the mission and goals of the Section.  Kovacek is a Past President of the Section on Administration and instrumental in merging that Section with the APTA Section on Health Policy to form the Section on Health Policy and Administration in 2002.

Kovacek Elected to Administration Hall of Fame

Peter R. Kovacek, MSA, PT, President and Founder of KovacekManagementServices, Inc. was enrolled into the American Physical Therapy Association, Section on Administration Hall of Fame. Recognizing those members of the prestigious Section on Administration who have served the Section over its 32 year history, Mr. Kovacek was recognized for enrollment in the Section Hall of Fame at the APTA's Combined Section Meeting in Boston, MA - attended by over 5,000 APTA members and guests.
 
Kovacek Elected to Key APTA Post

Peter R. Kovacek, MSA, PT, President and Founder of KovacekManagementServices, Inc. was elected to a three-year term on the Nominating Committee of the American Physical Therapy Association. In this role, Peter will be responsible for identifying and slating future leaders of the Association.   Mr. Kovacek will also continue in his role of President, Section on Administration of APTA.
 
Kovacek Assumes Presidency in Key Rehab Leadership Group

Peter R. Kovacek, MSA, PT, President and Founder of KovacekManagementServices, Inc. ascended to the position of President, Section on Administration, American Physical Therapy Association. .  The Section on Administration is a component of the APTA composed of over 1900 physical therapists and physical therapist assistants who are involved or interested in leadership, supervision, management and administration of physical therapy services. SOA promotes innovative, cost effective, evidence-based business, management and leadership practices, while inspiring and supporting physical therapy providers, educators and researchers. Mr. Kovacek had previously been President-Elect of SOA.
 
Kovacek Delivers Address to 1400 Physical Therapists

Peter R. Kovacek, MSA, PT, President and Founder of KovacekManagementServices, Inc. addressed a standing room only audience of over 1400 physical therapists and physical therapist assistants at the annual American Physical Therapy Association's Combined Sections Meeting in Seattle.  The presentation, 'The Patient Will Survive: Update on Acute Care Physical Therapy's Response to The Balanced Budget Act of 1997" was met with enthusiasm and resounding approval by those in attendance.  In addition to his role as President of KovacekManagementServices, Mr. Kovacek is also Vice President of the Acute Care/Hospital Clinical Practice Section and President-Elect of the Section on Administration of APTA.  Copies of the handout in Adobe Acrobat Format for this presentation are available by clicking on the title of the session above.

Kovacek Named Marquette University Physical Therapy Distinguished Alumni for 1998.

Peter R. Kovacek, MSA, PT has been named the Marquette University Physical Therapy Distinguished Alumnus for 1998.  Noting Kovacek's substantial contributions to the profession and frequent publications and presentations, Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin recognizes Kovacek with an award luncheon and banquet in late April.  Kovacek is President of Kovacek Management Services, Inc of Harper Woods, Michigan. Kovacek is a 1977 graduate of MU's Physical Therapy Program.
